Best Holiday Gift Ideas: Christmas 2016

This will start off sounding like yet another political post but it's really a love letter. Hang in there with me, okay? The election results are in and Americans are utterly divided. We've been here before. In Civil War and regarding Vietnam, for example. This great experiment called Democracy has led us down some winding, even gridlocked, roads. This custom endured in the form of Carnaval, an 1894 reinvention of this long-standing tradition. Today, Québec's Winter Carnival is the world's largest winter carnival and third on the list of top carnivals, just after Rio and New Orleans.
