Spring has finally arrived and Epcot’s yearly flower & garden festival is bursting with color! This truly is an event for all ages; featuring sponsor HGTV’s designer presentations, interactive play zones for the kiddos and heart-pumping entertainment via The Flower Power Concert Series. The real stars, however, are the Disney character-themed topiary displays! Here’s a hint: Click on character name links, in the photo captions, for fun YouTube videos (yes, even Mrs. Nesbitt):

Wow, I just love those topiaries! We never have anything that outrageous at our Chelsea Flower shows, maybe they should spice it up a bit with Disney. Lovely pics!

I absolutely love Disney! This post made me so excited that I am going to Disneyland on Sunday! I just love the creativity Disney has, everything they do is so imaginative and fun for all ages. Thanks for the great post. Going to read part 2 now!

What amazing pictures and I would love to see some of that topiary. It must have taken days to set it all up.

Thanks, Lyn. You should take a trip there some year. I can only imagine the hours of labor put into these gardens.

He’s kind of cute, right? I much prefer rainbow-breathing dragons to fire-breathing dragons! Thanks for your fun comment, Elena :)

Oh, wow, I wish. Love Shrek! I think that might be a Dream Works film, though. Disney missed out on that action. ;P Thanks for stopping in, Paul.

Ha! I guess he IS a little creepy, now that you mention it. Harmless, I’m sure. I love that crocodile too. Such a goofy looking guy :) Thanks, Raphael.

I would absolutely love to go to Epcot’s International Flower Garden Festival, it looks amazing! I love the Lion King arrangement (but that’s my favorite movie, so I’m bias). I can’t get over how beautiful it all looks!

    • Reply Erin

You should go! The Lion King is a great movie. I can see why it’s your favorite :) Thanks for taking the time to check in and comment.

  7. Reply Amanda

I love the Simba arrangement! It’s nice to see flowers and color – especially since I saw snow flurries this morning in Michigan! ;)

Isn’t it cute? Such talented people at Disney. I hear you about the snow. We’re supposed to get some tonight & tomorrow here and I AM DONE. ;P Thanks for stopping by Amanda.

OMG! These are absolutely beautiful! I love flower festivals but I had no idea that this one existed. The Buzz Lightyear display is super cool and the Beast one is also one of my favorite! Thanks for sharing!

HA. So cool. I would like to go to Epcot some day, although it’s not really on the top of my list. Also, your hair perfectly matches that orb above your head in the first picture. lol.

The other day you were really happy about my photos from Debrecen, I have to say that these are amazing! Beautiful artwork with the flowers, happy colors, and here it’s raining now, so I scrolled like ten times up and down, and I still don’t know which is my favorite one!

    • Reply Erin

Oh I’m SO happy,Gabor! Nothing pleases me more than to make someone happy with a post :) May the rain pass soon. Thank you for your wonderful comment.

Can’t imagine the hours of work that these artworks require. Mike Wazowski is my favourite I think but Lumière looks really nice too!

    • Reply Erin

They are even more impressive up close, Karl. You’re right, they must take a lot of time & effort! I love Mike Wazowski too :)

What a great flower & garden festival to visit! These topiaries are amazing. Nice idea to connect each of the characters on display with a YouTube video.

Oh my God! I love these. First of all I´m a huge fan of Disney, next to that I love greenish plants, a combination is just an extra treat! Great photos.

    • Reply Erin

Glad this post could tick all your boxes, Milene. I can hardly wait to go back and see what new characters they add. Beast is my own personal favorite so imagine my joy!

Ahahah that’s great! I’d really like to see something like that! I’ve never seen this kind of topiary except in Disney land Paris. :-)

    • Reply Erin

Oh they have them in Paris as well? Great to know! How did you like the park there? I’ve heard differing opinions.

    • Reply Erin

So glad you enjoyed seeing him, Marie Carmen. He’s such a fun character :) thanks for stopping by!

What great pictures. I was at a conference once at Disney World but unfortunately did not get to see much of the areas. These topiaries are incredible.

You can certainly tell that Spring has arrived in Orlando! What gorgeous pictures here of the flower arrangements at Epcot, plus of course the interesting designs to keep folks intrigued as they are wandering around the grounds. Like JP, I have never visited any parts of Disney World and Heather continues to remind me that we must make a trip over there. I think I always associated this with kids but I now realize that there is so much more to do here just for adults so it may be worthwhile taking a visit to explore for ourselves.

Great post and looking forward to part 2 Erin!

    • Reply Erin

Oh you HAVE to go, Chris. There is also a food &wine expo at Epcot, I believe in September. And my favorite time at Disney World is Halloween. Carved, lit pumpkins everywhere!

  17. Reply JP

Very nice! I may take a day trip over to Orlando soon to check them out, I’m only right down the road in Tampa.
